Vocal Coaching
FAQ's & Extra Information
What ages do you teach?
I offer private vocal coaching for children and teenagers aged 6–18. Sessions are tailored carefully to suit each age group and stage of development.
Can parents stay during lessons?
Parents and carers are very welcome to stay in the studio, particularly for younger children or first sessions. I will always highlight that I am DBS checked. Children typically respond better to sessions when parents/ carers. are not in the room so I will work to the goal that should your child wish for you to stay, we build their confidence to get to a place where you can drop off and collect.
Is this suitable for nervous or shy children?
Yes absolutely! I take huge pride in confidence-building, and sessions are always encouraging, supportive and child-led.
Do children need previous singing experience?
Not at all. Many of my students are complete beginners who simply love singing. Sessions focus on confidence, enjoyment and healthy technique, never pressure.
What styles of singing do you teach?
I will always try to work with age-appropriate material including:
-
Pop
-
Musical theatre
-
Contemporary songs
Should your child wish to sing a song potentially to mature for their age I will a always talk to you first.
Where is the studio based and is it accessible?
My studio space is based in the town of Frome. There is a flight of external stairs up to the studio space, there is no alternative way to the space.
Where do sessions take place?
Lessons take place in my home-based studio, which is a calm, professional and welcoming space designed for one-to-one coaching.
How long are sessions?
